Selection and Appointment: The Art Show Coordinator is selected and appointed by the Dean or by the Volunteer and Operations Coordinator (Seabeck)/Volunteer Coordinator (Naramata) with the approval of the Dean. S/He is responsible directly to the person selecting her/him.
Qualifications: The person selected should be a returning camper with a sense of Art Show tradition. This person needs to know or become knowledgeable of Board policy on money made at Eliot campers.
Responsibilities:
Suggestions: Art show history advises that Upper Colman is particularly suitable for the art show because of space and lighting. It is also advisable and helpful to have a separate area for children’s art and refreshments.Art Show participants need to be informed that their work cannot be nailed or tasked to the walls. They need to bring their own easels or display boards. NOTE: Art Work displayed at Seabeck cannot be sold on the Conference Grounds. Art work can be sold at Naramata if the seller agrees to donate 10% of their sales to Eliot Institute.
